Assistance League of Montgomery County provides funding for Veteran Therapy Sessions

The hard working, dedicated team of volunteers at The Assistance League operate a fabulous upscale Thrift Shop at 126 N. San Jacinto Street in downtown Conroe. Proceeds from the thrift shop support organizations like ours within our community.

Donations to nonprofits that are small like ours go a long way and truly support our mission. Thank you to The Kasprzak Family and The Apricity Foundation for being a shining star in our community! We couldn’t do it without you!
The Apricity Foundation serve others by supporting Texas based community organizations, veterans, pro-life, support animals, historical monuments and those in need. We do this by creating and supporting unique programs designed to entertain, educate, inspire, strengthen, and build within the communities.

Sunny Creek Ranch was proud to showcase their Horses For Heroes program with Lake Conroe Area Republican Women and guest speaker, Congressional candidate and former Navy SEAL, Morgan Luttrell for a wonderful "Caring for America" event hosted at the ranch. Sunny Creek Ranch loves the opportunity to share what their program means to the community and also connect with other organizations and people who fiercely support our heroes. Our veterans are national treasures who will always be cared for at Sunny Creek Ranch. The veterans and families in our program who attended were grateful for the opportunity to meet Morgan, who shared his thoughts on equine therapy and mental health options for his fellow service members.

As an Eagala Military Service Provider, Sunny Creek Ranch offers an opportunity for veterans and their families to receive 8 therapy sessions at no cost through a VA adaptive sports grant.

Montgomery Lions Club supports Sunny Creek Ranch Veterans and Families

The Montgomery Lions Club presents Sunny Creek Ranch with a donation of $400.00 in support of Horses for Heroes. The Montgomery Lions Club is an integral part of the International Association of Lions Clubs International. The Montgomery Lions Club was organized and received its charter in June 1922. Fifty-one members composed the charter roll. Lions Clubs International is the worlds largest service club organization with nearly 1.4+ million members in 46 thousand clubs in 194 countries and geographic areas. Lions are men and women who volunteer their time to humanitarian causes with the motto “We Serve.” Each Lion serves as a volunteer, donating his or her time and talent to continue the solid reputation for community service and traditional family values through the outreach of saving sight and serving youth. Our Club’s commitment to the deserving children of Montgomery mirrors generations of caring Lions and is woven into the fabric of each relationship and written into its plans for tomorrow.
